Products
Everything we've shipped.
Four products across three years, one live and growing. We keep the retired ones here because they explain how we got to Shelfie, and because we're proud of them.
Shelfie
A mobile-native beauty discovery and social collection app, built for people who love skincare, makeup and fragrance and want one place to keep it all. Shelfie is in internal testing on TestFlight and Android today, with App Store and Play Store launch next.
- 01Shorts: collections and media
Trending, New and For You feeds of collections, plus vertical reels and multi-photo posts with product tags, comments with replies, likes, saves and shares into chat.
- 02Collections that feel like a shelf
Individual or group collections, sections with dividers, hashtags, cover cropping, drag-to-reorder, a live preview, and public / followers / only-me privacy.
- 03INCI analyzer
Paste an ingredient list, pick a product, or compare two. Categories, safety flags, estimated concentration from INCI order, and a history of every analysis.
- 04Products and launches
A curated catalogue of 1,300+ products across 300+ brands and 290 categories, Featured and Coming Soon rails, a release calendar, brand pages and a buy button that names the store.
- 05Socials
Realtime DMs and group chats with typing indicators and mutes, follow graph, invite codes, and push notifications that respect who is already looking.
- 06Personal
A beauty profile onboarding (goals, concerns, AM/PM routine, loved and avoided ingredients), a signature brand and ingredient computed from your shelf, and light, dark and Matcha themes.
What it taught us
Shelfie is where everything from the earlier products came together: Pantryloop's shelf, Clipforge's media pipeline and Relayform's integration endpoints. It is also the first product we built with our own design system from day one.
Clipforge
A social-media shorts generator for small creators and local businesses. Upload a long recording, and Clipforge transcribed it, scored the most quotable 20–60 second windows, cut them into 9:16 clips with animated captions in your brand kit, and scheduled them to TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- 01Highlight detection
A transcript-first scoring model found hooks, punchlines and complete thoughts, so clips never started mid-sentence.
- 02Captions people actually read
Word-level timing, safe-area aware layouts for every platform, and brand kits with fonts and colours.
- 03One queue for every platform
Connect accounts once, approve a batch, and let the scheduler post at the best time per channel.
- 04Why we retired it
By 2025 the big platforms shipped their own clip tools for free. Rather than compete on a commodity, we kept the media pipeline and put it to work inside Shelfie's reels.
What it taught us
Video transcoding is expensive and unforgiving. Clipforge is why Shelfie's media workers are sandboxed, egress-filtered and billed per minute, and why we export every upload to a single H.264 profile before it reaches a feed.
Relayform
Relayform began as a hosted form and webhook product for small teams: typed endpoints, signed webhooks, retries and an audit trail. Customers loved the endpoint model more than the forms. Today Relayform is the integration layer under every Stackset product, and the reason our databases have no public address.
- 01Integration service endpoints
Every client capability is a named, versioned endpoint with a schema. Clients can't address tables, columns or hosts, only intents.
- 02Policy at the edge
Authentication, rate limits, input validation and per-role policy run before a request enters the private network.
- 03Signed webhooks and workers
Side effects (notifications, extraction, media) run as isolated, retried jobs, never inline with user requests.
- 04Containerised by default
Each endpoint group ships as its own container image with pinned dependencies, read-only filesystem and an explicit egress allow-list.
What it taught us
Customers kept asking for the endpoint and policy layer without the forms. Listening to that is what turned a side product into the security backbone described on our security page.
Pantryloop
Our first app. Pantryloop tracked what you had at home: scan a barcode, set a restock threshold, get an expiry reminder, and share a live shopping list with your household. A few thousand people used it, and the pattern of a shared, visual shelf stuck with us.
- 01Barcode first
Scan to add, with a product database that filled in names, sizes and images.
- 02Shared households
Invite family members; lists and shelves sync in realtime across phones.
- 03Quiet reminders
Expiry and low-stock nudges that batched themselves so nobody got spammed.
- 04Why we retired it
Grocery inventory is a chore people abandon. The social, show-off version of a shelf, the beauty shelf, is the one people come back to. That became Shelfie.
What it taught us
The best part of Pantryloop was never the inventory, it was the shared shelf. That insight, plus a realtime sync layer we still use, is the seed of Shelfie's collections.
