About Stackset

A product studio that runs what it builds.

KC

Kevin Chan

Co-founder · Product & growth

Kevin owns the product: what Shelfie is for, who it serves, and what ships next. He runs the tester community and the weekly feedback rounds that drive every release, curates the catalogue, launches and editorial slots through the admin tools, and leads conversations with brands, retailers and investors.

BR

Brian Ren

Co-founder · Engineering

Brian owns how it's built: the React Native app, the component library and motion system, the Postgres platform with row-level security, the integration endpoints, and the release pipeline that ships to TestFlight, Android and over the air. He holds the keys to production and spends a lot of time making sure nobody else needs to.

Our story

From a pantry to a beauty shelf.

Every product we've made is about the same thing: the stuff people keep, and the people they share it with.

  1. 2023

    Pantryloop

Our first app: a shared household inventory. The feature people loved wasn't the inventory, it was seeing a shelf together.

  2. 2024

    Clipforge & Relayform

A shorts generator for creators and a hosted endpoint/webhook product. One taught us media at scale; the other became the integration layer under everything we build.

  3. 2025

    Shelfie begins

We combined the shelf, the media pipeline and the platform into a social beauty app and started building with our own design system from day one.

  4. Sept 2026

    Shelfie in people's hands

First TestFlight and Android builds. Weekly feedback rounds, over-the-air releases, a catalogue past 1,300 products.

  5. Next

    Public launch

App Store and Google Play, brand and retailer partnerships, and our first funding round.

How we work

Small team, high standards.

Users every week

Releases are driven by named feedback rounds from real testers. If it isn't fixing something someone asked for, it waits.

Boring deploys

Every push to main fingerprints, builds or publishes an over-the-air update, and keeps a rollback snapshot. Shipping should be uneventful.

Security is a feature

We'd rather explain our architecture on a public page than hope nobody looks. See how it works

Craft in the details

A glow that isn't clipped by a scroll view. A tab bar that respects a foldable's hinge. Nobody notices, everybody feels it.

Own the stack

Design system, app, data platform, pipeline. Owning it all is how two people move like twenty.

Canadian, for Canada first

Prices in CAD, retailers Canadians actually shop at, data hosted in North America. Then the world.

Work with us

We're hiring slowly and talking to investors now.

If you're a designer or engineer who wants to own a whole surface, or an investor who backs product-obsessed teams, say hello.
